I do my best to describe all items honestly and to the best of my ability. I am not responsible for incorrect fitment. Always have trained proffesionals install your parts, and always consult with an expert prior to bidding or purchase. Parts are used unless noted and wear should be expected with age. Please read all descriptions thoroughly and ask all and any questions prior to bidding. The owner would like to do more touring and would consider a trade for an FXRP. I recommend coming to view the bike in person if you have and condition concerns. Shipping is roughly $750 and sometimes may take a few weeks until the shipping company picks it up. Please let me know if you have any questions. I also have a few boxes of some other stuff that goes with it. The dash, tanks and fenders are not secured, just mounted for pics. Again this bike was running and the only thing taken apart was the engine. The flywheels and internals of the engine were shipped out to a shop in Arizona and “Never Made it” according to the shop, so you will need internals and some small stuff. So what it does need is to have the engine rebuilt and does need some engine parts. Its a very clean machine, that has been kept in a garage its whole life. Has new clutch, transmission all rebuilt with Andrews gears and shafts, new battery, Rebuilt forks with Progressive springs. ![]() Everything in the primary and the reast of the bike is there, just needs some engine parts. The bike was running and the owner took the engine out to repair two head gaskets and never put it back together. I received this from the original owner to sell. Jimsvintagecycle store For sale is a very rare 1978-1/2 Harley FXS Lowrider. Pickup only, paid in 7 days please, I am putting the KBB value for an opening price but will entertain a serious offer: you can call 92 with questions. I have never personally seen another like this. Overall this bike is very nice not many in this color around, and for sure not many as stock as this. The speedo dances around when riding not sure if that can be fixed or not. The only thing that should be attended to is the rear brake - it is weak. It runs very smooth and is un-modded so it is a joy to ride, trans is perfect also. I have to say how nice the bike starts and runs. There was a problem with the accelerator pump that blued the pipes a bit (I caught it right away on start up and fixed it but did blue the pipes). The seat is stock, but has some small splits that are very minimal. Stock paint is super nice - very few scratches and looks very clean. ![]() Just about the only changes were the pipes & air filter cover (but they are very cool vintage tail pipes). Selling my baby, An original 1978 Harley Superglide in amazing stock condition.
